Meet The Doctor
Mariam Bakheet
D.D.S., M.S.Dr. Mariam Bakheet earned her dental degree from the University of Southern California Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry, where she trained with leaders in the field, including Dr. Pascal Magne, a pioneer in biomimetic restorative dentistry. During her time at USC, she served as a board member on several committees and worked as a teaching assistant in select dental courses, mentoring the younger classes of dental students. Dr. Bakheet went on to complete an internship in oral surgery at the UT Houston Medical Center in Texas, where she gained advanced experience in surgical procedures such as tooth extractions and implant placement, conscious sedation, diagnosing oral conditions, caring for medically complex patients, and managing dental emergencies.
Before pursuing dentistry, Dr. Bakheet earned a Masters degree in Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine at the USC Keck School of Medicine, where her research focused on jawbone regeneration and was the recipient of several academic scholarships.
Dr. Bakheet practiced in Southern California before relocating here. Now based in Atlanta, she is excited to bring her background in both restorative and surgical dentistry to the practice, working alongside Dr. Hal N. Arnold to provide comprehensive, patient-focused care.
Outside of the office, Dr. Bakheet finds joy in the vibrancy of music and art events, the peace and calm of nature, and the excitement of traveling and exploring new regions, cultures, and experiences. Most of all, she cherishes time spent with her husband, family, and friends as they continue to make Atlanta their home.
